About  Lions Club of Hosur Sipcot Pride

The Lions Club of Hosur Sipcot Pride was sponsored by Lions Club of Hosur Main in the year 2018 and the club charter date is 27th July 2018.

The club was initially started with 28 members and today we have around 50 members.

Fellowship and Service

The motto of Lions Club is fellowship and service.

Our club has been able to balance both Friendship and service very well.The important factor that enables us have a right balance is the involvement of the whole family in the club activities.Because without friendship there is no team work and hence we can't scale our service.

To maintain fellowship we encourage family activities.We involve every household member in the service activities.Service mind sets in at early age for our kids.

Every club member takes up some sort of responsility and ensures to deliver on that responsibility inspite of his personal and business or work commitments.The members work in synergy and the team work ensures the service is done as planned and within the budget planned.

Office bearers

The Club Office bearers includes the team of 

• President

• Secretary and 

• Treasurer

This team (popularly referred as PST) who forms the core team supported by other office bearers as specified by the International Association of Lions Clubs.Usually the office is held for one year period and proceedings are as per the protocols and bye-laws of the Lions International.

Who funds us

Our major source of funds are

1. Annual Subscription Fee from Members

2. Members donations

3. Fund raising through some short term commercial activities during Festive seasons

4. Donation from Friends

5. Sponsorship for Projects from Corporates

Contrary to the belief of the public we fund every activity.There is no one who regularly funds us.It is we,the members who donate and contribute the activities by way of fees and donations.We manage to set aside a part of our income or profits to give back to the society.We believe that there is always someone who needs our help and hence we always lend our helping hand to the needy.We rigourously verify if the request is really authentic and the needs are genuine before we do a service. We never end up donating to a wrong people.Because it is after all hard earned money of either our members or of that of our friends who donate.

Besides this we generate funds for scaling our service by running fund raising projects like 

• Selling Sweets during festival times like Ayudha Pooja(Dussehra) and Diwali.

• Selling Sarees and some other utilities to generate funds for our projects.

Every year the new office bearers plan the service activities and prepare a budget for those activites.This plan is reviewed and approved by the members and the Board of Directors. There are several governing bodies to monitor the activites and accounts of the club.

We have separate accounts referred as PROJECT and ADMIN accounts.

• PROJECT account:

Every donation is accounted in Project account and we ensure every paise from "Project" account goes only for the Social Service and spent on the needy.

• ADMIN account:

The membership fee that the members pay is used for administration activities like conducting a club function,self development and leadership training, food and refreshments, appreciating and motivating the contributing members.

By nature the needs from the society will be never ending and ongoing and we wish to CHANGE rather than waiting for someone else to come and make the change.

We are constantly on the lookout for the CHANGE MAKER in you.
